Grandson of Pandit Kumar Gandharva, son of Mukul Shivaputra, Bhuvanesh's musical journey began, unbeknownst to him, in infancy. His music thrived under able tutelage of Smt. Vasundhara Komakali and Shri. Madhup Mudgal. With his unwavering commitment to music, Bhuvanesh is taking forward the timeless legacy of Kumarji's values and philosophy. He will enthrall the audiences with Khayal Gayaki in the same pathbreaking tradition of Pt Kumar Gandharva.
Bhuvanesh ji will be accompanied on Table by Sanjay Deshpande. Sanjay was introduced to tabla by Late Pt. P. V. Sabade. Later, he took Taleem from Pt. Suresh Talwalkar. He also had the privilege of studying under maestro Ustad Alla Rakha Saheb. At present, he is learning from Shri Yogesh Samsi (Senior disciple of Ustd. Allarakha) and Pt. Vivek Joshi of Delhi-Farookabad Gharana.
On Harmonium, Bhuvanesh ji will be accompanied by Abhishek Shinkar. Abhishek started learning music at an early age from Shankar Mahajan. He continued his training for vocal and harmonium under the guidance of Pt. Nathrao Neralkar at Aurangabad for in Gurushishya Parampara. He has been taking formal lessons for harmonium under the tutelage of Pt. Pramod Marathe at Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Pune in Gurushishya Parampara. He is also fortunate to receive guidance from Taalyogi Pt. Sureshji Talwalkar.
